Who donates food and groceries?

The work of the Food Bank can only continue with the generosity of individuals, families, groups, schools, churches and local organisations.

We also have a monthly supermarket collection at Ashington ASDA and a permanent basket in the Morrison’s Morpeth store.

If you are able to donate nonperishable food items then please drop them into one of our centers listed below;

Where are the Food Bank Distribution and Drop Off Centers Located?

Currently we are operating out of locations based at Morpeth, Ashington and Newbiggin  from which we both distribute and receive food donations.

What Kind of Food is Needed?

Your help to keep the shelves filled would be much appreciated. We are always able to accept basic tinned or dried food with a reasonable shelf life. At the moment the items we would find particularly useful are;

Small tubs of Buttery Spread, Small Blocks of Cheese, Long Life Milk, Tins of Carrots, Tins of Sweetcorn, Packets of Potato Mash, Tins of Rice Pudding, Toilet Rolls

In addition Shower gel, Shampoo, Toothpaste, and small Bars of Chocolate would be gratefully received.
