Is the food bank a national organisation?

Wansbeck Valley Food Bank is an independent local charity set up to help prevent and relieve poverty or financial hardship. We are a member of IFAN which is a UK network of independent food aid providers.

We operate in association with local social services and other professional agencies.

Helping anyone in the Wansbeck Valley area with an emergency need for food.

We are currently in the process of relocating the food bank warehouse operation and administrative base. During this transition we are unable to offer full service provision between Thursday 30th November and 5 December 2023. It is expected that the service will be fully operational from Wednesday 6 December.
